Over the years I have come to this place for breakfast on so many occasions and it is always the best. I have taken friends here and dates alike and they have always been impressed with steak and eggs or omelettes with steak in them if you're noticing a theme yes steak steak steak and well try tip! Cool little saloon that makes me feel like I'm in tombstone Arizona kind of transported in time. Now, while I would go here for breakfast or lunch for dinner I would rather head up the hill to the large McClintock's truth be known but this may very well be in my top three breakfast spots in the Central Coast!

This restaurant had fairly good food and an interesting environment. First impression was that it was a really neat looking building with cool western decorations. The manager was very friendly, but we had to wait about 10 minutes when there were clearly plenty of tables available, and the table we ended up getting had been empty the entire time we waited. I understand about managing the server's time, but why not let us sit down and get situated? We both got the top sirloin steak dinners. We both asked for the steaks cooked medium - mine was cooked perfectly, but my partners was overcooked. The servers were fairly nice, but seemed very busy and a bit disinterested in us. They didn't do anything wrong, it just didn't feel very friendly. The food was good, but for the price I would normally expect a little more service and attention.

First time going to McLintocks for breakfast. My wife ordered the waffle which was nice and crispy! (Nothing worse than a soggy waffle) I love "eggs Benedict" so it's always my first choice. They had the traditional eggs bene but on the other side of the menu I saw "Cowboy Benedict." That's biscuits with a thick slab of ham 2 sunny side up eggs smothered in sausage gravy!!! Can you say coma time! Hahaha.... yes but it was good. Try it out!

We came right at 4:30 right when they opened and boy am I glad. In an hour the place was completely filled and a line waiting. I'm not sure why this place hasn't been reviewed yet but it is amazing!! There were 8 of us, 4 of which were kids. The menu for them had a great selection and at the end they were able to choose a prize from the "saddlebag". They loved that. The steaks we got where cooked to our specifics and the side dishes were also amazing. One in our party got the fish and chips and they were very tasty.

The hospitality here was at an all time low. We called asking if there was a wait for 3 if we came within the next 5 minutes and they said "yes you'll be seated immediately". We arrived less than five minutes later to the hostess saying there was a 40 minute wait! How is that even possible. The hostess rudely told us that there's nothing he can do about it and there were 3 parties ahead of us and that he told his guy not to give times. It's your fault not ours, therefore you definitely do not need to have an attitude about it. I specifically signed up for yelp to write this review.

These folks know how to throw a good steak. In addition, the half chicken came out quite nicely. The house BBQ sauce is zesty without being overly sweet. We were very happy with the friendly seating and service. The place does get busy but worth the short wait.

When in Pismo we'll definitely make it a regular place to eat. Portions sharable, friendly atmosphere. Food prepared with excellence. Price is what you'd expect for a steakhouse. Onion rings are a must!

Nice Thursday night special with steak and a couple of sides. Steak could have been cooked a little less for a medium rare and the bread was from Wednesday. Service was excellent and quick.

I must say we have been coming here for years, and it's always something to look forward to! My review is breakfast based becuase all tho we have done lunch and dinner here breakfast is our favorite! The food is always fresh, and hot and service is normally spot on. The bar is great and usually packed even at 9 am. Bloody Mary's are great!

  • Tracy M.

Whenever I'm in the Pismo area I have got to have a burger from here. Very good. Patio out back is much better than the stuffy restaurant that gets packed with people.

Amazing home style breakfast with that country feel. The home potatoes are phenomenal and the gravy is tasty. This is the second time I have gone to breakfast in the Saloon, and I am never disappointed! The breakfast burrito is one of the best in town! I will be back!

Good spot to make it your regular eat and to bring family. Bartenders can make a good stiff drink. A.O.S.: Always Order Steak when when you come here!

  • Marsha O.

Came here a bit early was told their was a 10 minute wait. Not too bad at all. We sat at the bar because there was no wait there, and the bartender was fabulous! Super peronable and friendly not to mention funny. We ordered the Sirloin and it was sooooooo good. Perfectly seasoned and juicy. No dry steak here, and no need to add flavor with a steak sauce. I will definitely be back!

Great steak. The ribeye was done perfectly. Friendly environment, fast service. Will definitely come back again. A bit on the pricey side. my daughter thinks it's one of the best steak she had. We are those families who try to be use our carnivore points carefully. We eat meat once a month, so naturally want the best possible when we do.

  • Ed J.

I had the chili size it was really good and my wife had fish tacos that she said was really good. The portion size was great. We could not finish the dinners. Also they have some awsome onion rings.

Always good food and service. Love the small town feel. Actually don't feel good about giving a great review. I want to keep the place to myself! Oh well, I can't be selfish. The service is great, love Michelle!

  • Amanda M.

We went here last night for dinner. I haven't been here since I was a kid, and after all these years and I was not disappointed. I ordered the top sirloin, baked potato , and Caesar salad . The sirloin was perfect ! So juicy and tender , I barely had to put any effort into cutting it . The salad was great also . The service was pretty good and after our meal she let my son pick out of the " saddle bag ."

One of the best places to eat in Arroyo Grande. Jackie was fabulous and funny A welcome change to the typical hustle and bustle of the food industry. If you're passing through stop by and enjoy something delicious and bring your appetite. We will be eating here again! Thank you F.McClintocks

Took wifely and the little buster here for lunch today. Split the tri tip sand with the ball and chain and suffered through watching the little buster nibble at the chicken fingers and fries. Tasty food and nice tucked away location. Will go back.

Came here when visiting a friend. This place is great. Laid back but more fun and comfortable than casual. The bartender likes to pour if you know what I mean. I had dinner which was great! The atmosphere was energetic and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Kids dined with their parents. Plenty of seating. I am told this restaurant has been around a long time and it's definitely somewhere I would frequent if I lived close!

I wasn't feeling like heavy foods the night I went to McLintock's but I did not manage to find a single healthy option. All the salads are enormous, heavy meals under the pretense that throwing some lettuce in suddenly changes the fact that they are 2,000+ calories. The onion rigns were disappointing; cripsy on the outside and soggy on the inside and completely lacking any flavor or seasoning. The service was very friendly but this food (ribs, salad, appetizer) was certainly not worth a 20 minute wait in my book.

    (2)
  • Juan C.

Wow was shocked on food.ordered the salad so good.was not disappointed.perfect lunch to eat with family at the park.customer service was great as soon as I walked through door and I had gotten food to go. They are not stingy like other restaurants. Every bite had delicious tri tip. Thank you.

We tried to go to Jocko's but they had a 2-3 hour wait. WHAT? So we went here instead. No wait. This was on a Wed, btw. My steak was cooked to order but it was just good, not great, and w/ a little gristle down the middle that should not exist in the cut I just paid for. I got it in combination w/ the calamari steak. Who am I kidding? Calamari steak tastes like breaded, fried nothing. Not their fault. Not great for the price. I found myself more interested in the baked potato. The salad was a bag of forgettable nothingness. One of my offspring had a kid burger and it came w/ an adult-sized bun and a teeny weeny burger lost inside. If you're going to skimp on the kid burgers, get a smaller bun to make it look more appetizing for them. And news flash, most kids don't like spices on their fries. The other kid enjoyed her chicken fingers and my husband liked his pork chop. To make up for the lousy kid food, they have treasure-filled saddle bags. That was cool. Even my 12 year old got all worked up. You can never go wrong w/ tiny treasures! The food was pretty good but the service was a little irritating. They had plenty of wait staff but none of them seemed to be clearing the tables of unwanted dishes. There was little excuse for them to be so inattentive because they were huddled in groups in the hallway, chatting with each other throughout the night. If we're looking at an $80 check, the waitress is looking at a $12 tip - for our table alone. Multiply that by 3 or 4 per hour and she's doing okay. We're not particularly needy or high-maintenance, but when dessert comes and there's no room because the table is sky-high w/ dinner dishes and she makes no attempt to clear space, I start thinking, "13%, 10%, 8%...and counting down." And I found myself staring at the table next to us that was also piled high w/ meal detritus throughout their dessert and bill-paying. Lame. I might come here again if I can't find any place better.

If the food is fantastic then I can typically overlook bad service, but when your food is just "OK" and your customer service sucks then it's not even worth my time. I've been to the SLO location and the Shell Beach and I love them both! This location however has something missing. We came in on a Sunday for lunch, and even with the Fall Festival going on it wasn't busy. We were seated and heard a table grumbling behind us about the food and about how they wanted their check. We ordered our drinks, and then our food and while we waited for our food our glasses were on empty. I tried to get our waitresses attention, but she was too busy chatting with the bar tender. There was a gentleman sitting by the door, another girl rolling napkins and people in the Restaurant needing refills, needed booster seats for their kids (which they had to get up and find them theirselves), needing their checks and the servers were busy talking to each other. We got our refill when our food arrived, my salad was missing the avocado, and was soaked in dressing. My husbands garlic fries looked like they were sprinkled with garlic. Food was mediocre, but the service was below average. I'll stick with the other locations.

What a wonder first time visit. Great food, great decor, great view of the sunset and a lovely and knowledgeable waitress named Jaime. The best I've experienced in a long time. Highly recommend! Thanks Jaime! :-)

We like to go to the little house for breakfast but we always have to drive by to see if we want to wait! There is little standing room and I tend to get stuck next to lots of children. That being said, if we go early enough we get seated pretty quickly. I really like that I get to pick the sides I want. I am a vegetarian and so many of the breakfast entrees have meat so I like being able to have some scrambled eggs, fruit, and potato without having to pay for/waste some bacon or sausage. I also REALLY love their waffle. the batter is delicious and it absorbs that butter and syrup perfectly. heaven!

  • Ted R.

Went here last night and we all had steaks and thought they were very good. Had a bottle of house cabernet at a decent price. Baked potato really good beans good and clam chowder soup good. I like this location much more than on the hill at Pismo. Great friendly service.

Awesome food. Love this place. I just wish they wouldn't have taken the chicken Marsala off the menu!

I like McLlintocks! The drinks are great at the bar! The service is good through out.The atmosphere is laid back. And the food... is not great but consistently good time and time again. Nice locals place for breakfast ,lunch and they have some awesome dinner specials!

  • NS H.

Village Mcklintocks is definitely a place the locals enjoy. We do breakfast here at least once a week and it is never disappointing. Also, if you have some time to sleep it off, Mimosas are plentiful. None of those small champagne flutes happening here. As for dinner, don't come expecting a salad or light option. This is a steak house. They offer large portions of meat and sides with fresh homemade salsa. It's Santa Maria style BBQ at it's finest.

Amazing great food rib eye stake is bitchin Chris the bartender is the shit love this place definitely will be back good job guys!

My family took me here for the first time and my tastebuds were in heaven. Everything was delicious and our waitress was so nice and wonderful. Our kids are every bit of their grilled chicken. They even brought out applesauce for them. :) I love the kick back environment. I would love to come back without the kids sometime, but it was lovely.

We were incredibly disappointed in two out the three meals we had. My husband ordered a New York steak and he ordered it medium rare and it came out without any pink at all. My southwest chicken breast, tasted like processed chicken and the fries were cold and everything was incredibly too salty. Our daughter had the pulled pork which ended up being the best thing this evening. I had never been there before, my husband had and liked it previously. I would not return. As we were leaving the restaurant, two men were also complaining of their steaks not cooked to their order. Maybe it was just an off night. Not sure whether I would return.

  • Bernadette L.

Ate here last night with my Husband and it was as good as I remember it from when I was younger. The cheesy bread was a bit much but my tri-tip salad was fantastic. My husbands pork chop was just a touch over done but he said that it was still pretty good and he loved that the restaurant vibe wasn't trying to hard like another place we went to in Santa Maria. We'll be happy to come back now that we've back and next time I'll have to try the desserts.

  • Kelsey M.

Meat is delicious!! I had the sliders... two tri tip and two pulled pork. The pulled pork was very tasty, and had the cole slaw stacked on top of the meat inside of the sandwich. The tri tip was my favorite though... the meat was done perfectly! I was seriously disappointed with the veggies though. I ordered a side of seasonal vegetables, and I got a really sad looking plate of baby carrots and broccoli. They were either frozen and then microwaved, or they were steamed to within an inch of their lives. They were watery, tasteless, and probably had very little nutritional value left. The bar here looks great... there is definitely an elks lodge feel to this place. And there are plenty of tv screens around to watch the games on. Overall, come here for meat and a beer... don't expect to order anything healthy and be pleased with it though ;)

McLintocks is a must stop off 101 and has been an stopping point for the family. Yes to being kid friendly. Good food. Try the ribs.

    (4)
  • Bob K.

My wife and I just had dinner, and the summary is fair food, poor service. The ribs were OK, and the Alfredo was good, but the staff seemed like a JV team. It seemed so widespread, I suspect it must be a management issue. The wait staff took orders for food the kitchen no longer had, and seemed barely interested in the few patrons in the house. My coffee cup,sat empty for 20 minutes and I was never asked about a refill. Management must have slept through Customer Service 101. This place should be better, but we are not going back to find out.

  • Gail S.

Went last night and all I can say is wow. They seemed to be shirt staffed but the manager was amazing. She had it under control was on top of everything. We got the new girl Erin and you wouldn't even know she was new. She was very attentive and gave us great customer service. The only down fall is one of the servers we have gotten several times. Her name is Melissa she always seems to have an attitude and brings our dinner experience down. From now on we will ask for Erin or any of the others servers. Need to get rid of her.

Having been to this place a few times over the last twenty years I have to say they keep putting out good food at reasonable prices. Continuing traditions started long ago this is a good local spot for a burger (excellent) or a salad (also excellent) We enjoy this as spot the talk friends from out of town who are always very pleased, so are we!

Awesome grub but you'll pay for it. Well worth it if your ready to spend the money. Fun place to take the kids or the lady.

My wife & I come to Pismo Beach a couple of times a year (from Orange County) & we ALWAYS go to this McLintocks at least once or twice. As previously noted, it is not a fast food restaurant. However, the service is great & the food is spot on good. This is mostly a "locals" place & not many out of towners even know where it is, but you are made to feel welcome. I have been coming to this area from the "OC" since 1981 (attending various CSTI classes) & just love the area & the restaurants. We always go to the McLintocks in San Luis Obispo & sometimes the one on the hill in Shell Beach, but we always go to the one in Arroyo Grande. This McLintocks is a must for us local "want to be's." Ken / Magnum P.I.

  • C F.

It seems odd that you pay $26 for a piece of meat and are only offered two sides for which includes lots of starches and none of them are a salad or a vegetable and if you want a salad or a vegetable I don't think there's even a vegetable you have to pay another dollar 95 what's up with that?

    (2)
  • Laura J.

Steak not cooked to perfection as advertised, and seemed pretty small . I have been here in the past with better results.

    (3)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner - or anytime, great service, food and the best Cadillac Margs in the county. There's a reason it's "where the locals go". +++++

What had happened to you McLintocks? You used to be one of the best. I went to your AG location because I had a gift certificate. You are now no better than what my wife calls a "Western Denny's". To start off our dinner, the salad had limp browned edged lettuce. Then i watched our waitress gave 1/2 of our dinner to the wrong table. Therefore she put my steak under the heat lamp for 7 minutes while they re-fired the other half of our dinner. I normally do not send meals back (because you know why) but my steak was lukewarm at best so I asked them to re-fire my steak, Then they paid our bill with the credit card from the neighboring table which I had to point out to them. The worst part (and she pointed it out in the car home) our 6 year old was not offered the toy saddle. No plans to go back. Being a local guy, I did not recognize anyone at the restaurant. When we pulled out the parking lot, I noticed RVs, trucks, and ATVs and realized most of the people there were tourists who also remembered the old McLintocks.-

Solid 4 Star Steak House. Good sized portions, big flavors, fun Decor, good service, decent prices. Cocktails and drink selection is decent as well. Every experience for me has been equal, a good dining experience, it's why I come back. Never been blown away, never said this is the best service, steak, or dessert I've ever had, but it's consistently good.

  • Marcus F.

The Arroyo Grande location is a bit smaller than the other ones. I totally get the "no privacy" point deduction from Lynn N. When we walked into the dining room it was basically a small square room with tables and a bar. Didn't really seem very family friendly when the place was empty. The Tri-tip sandwich was recommended by a coworker and it didn't disappoint. This is how a tri-tip sandwich should taste. The roll was toasted, and the "on the side" sauce was tangy. The side fries were also good. yelp.com/biz_photos/T-ix… I was also able to taste a Beef Rib and was impressed. Not all BBQ places do beef ribs and this one was right up there. Kids items were decent. If they finish their plate ( They don't check) the kid gets to grab a prize from the saddlebag on the wall. Good meal, recommended.

    F. Mclintocks is known as a steakhouse chain, but they also have a restaurant that is great for breakfast and lunch. Located in fashionable Arroyo Grande California, Mclintocks serves some mighty good vittles served by sassy but fun waitresses. Next time? They have a burger challenge- 1.5 lbs. I'm gonna give it a try - very doable, I think...

Mosey on in for some cowboy food & cocktails.. and get a gander at the dead animals on the walls surrounding ya. It really felt like being in Texas in here. The food was big, brown and delicious. I was even happy that they didn't use fresh cut french fries, because those usually suck. We had steak, as one should when dining here. Country music played on the overhead.. but I endured it and was able to block it from my mind. The margaritas helped (and they were fantastic!) You gotta check out the Christmas chicken wearing tinsel..I'll post a pic..it's a hoot.

The waitresses we have had in our two recent visits were both excellent: nice, friendly and efficient. The seating was instant on both occasions (today: lunch, a week ago: dinner) . The portions are truly plentiful and the dining room is comfortable. The food is good, and is served very very quickly. Prices are a bit high, but I am noticing that on all food in all restaurants and grocery stores these days. When we left, the bartender said goodbye and the man at the door opened it for us. I like that the feeling of the dining room. It is very community/close knit/friendly among the patrons. On our recent dinner there, we had a great dessert, and the table next to us asked us about it as we left. We had left our leftovers in to-go boxes on the table and a man from the neighboring table walked out after us to give it to us! How cool is that???? I do like that feeling of a friendly comfortable dining room-- and it is especially suitable for a place in the village of Arroyo Grande.

The best place around for breakfast with a morning cocktail! It's good to know you don't have to travel to Europe or Mexico to get a taste of American freedom! Great place to take out of town guests to show local personality. Great menu. Awesome CHILI VERDE OMLET!!! They bring around a saddle bag with toys in it for the KIDS after the meal!

Soooo good. Best Ketel cosmos in town. Just ask for a straw and drink it straight from the mason jar. The spinach salad is my favorite with the homemade vinaigrette - soooo good! Love the tri-tip sandwich and the rib eye is out of this world. Shout out to the quesadillas and he burgers too.

I enjoyed the top sirloin because it had so much flavor. Next time I'd have it cooked medium. I asked for medium well, but it seemed well done to me. The beans were very good. I would suggest if you order a steak to get the beans too. The two flavors compliment each other. The ice tea was really good. I typically order tea when we eat out and this tea taste like home made. Other than the meat being a little too done the only other suggestion I would make is too have veggies as sides, like green beans or broccoli. Also add veggies to the kids plates. My kids are used to having a veggie at dinner. They got a steak & French fries.

Stopped in for breakfast and wasn't surprised by the large portions. There were a few other patrons dining but overall empty. The servers were nice but very slow and i did get a coffee cup smeared with lip gloss. Not a great first impression. Ordered the country fried steak and eggs. The steak was tender and the eggs... Well they were eggs. Pretty hard to screw up over medium. The potatoes however were a different story. Over done and lacking flavor with the exception of the heaping mound of half raw onions that were mixed in. I had better food and service at their location in San Luis Obispo.

TThere is only one reason why this place only gets 3 stars and not five. One thing, or...person i suppose. The food is wonderful, they are accommodating and almost all are cheery and have smiles on their face when they greet us as we walk in to place our same to-go order. Well, its when we place our order that it goes downhill, the girl the runs the to-go order station (Chloe, i believe) is never smiling, ever. And she just doesn't seem interested in you at all, i was in the middle of a question one time and she just turned away, mid sentence from me, just turned away. I would understand one bad day, but don't you think that if you're never happy at your job you should probably find another? And we often call our order on and even then the smallest of interactions seems to annoy her and ruin her day. And don't think that just because we order to-go we don't tip, we do, every time hoping that with a tip maybe next time she'll be happy to see us, or something. But you know, the food is great and everyone else is great, and so I totally recommend it as an intimate, local fun place to be...

We just enjoyed a fabulous breakfast skillet. There was enough food for us to split it and we both had plenty. Their Linguisa sausage is better than I've ever had anywhere else. I always look forward to at least one meal here whenever we get to visit the area and I've never been let down. My favorite restaurant in AG!

  • Joanna L.

We were gonna go to AJ's but they're not open til 4pm so we decided to try this place out. We were greeted right when we got into the restaurant. I love how it looks inside and out. It looks like a house from the outside though. Ambiance was quiet and homey. Michelle was our server and she did a great job! She's friendly and even checked on us whole we're eating to make sure that everything is good. I ordered salmon with rice pilaf and I pretty much finished the whole thing. Salmon was not dry nor too moisty it's just perfect for me. The rice was the bomb I love love love rice! While my boyfriend ordered a burger with fries on the side. Their fries is bomb too I had to steal some from his plate while I devour my own plate lol. They also listened to my boyfriend's request which was to add extra onions. I didn't expect that they'd add more but they actually did so that's plus points. Overall, I recommend this place and will come back for sure if we're in town again.

Had the New York steak. Best steak in a long time. Great salad and baked potato. Garlic fries were great. Only 4 not 5 because I don't like when restaurants serve butter and sour cream in cheap plastic cups. If I am paying 25 bucks for a steak, they can wash a condiment dish. But the food was excellent!!!!

From a guy who has lived in Reno, NV, Green Bay, WI, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan: when I want a steak and a beer done right I come to McLintocks AG. Now, I've been to McLintocks Pismo and McLintocks SLO and what separates this cozy location from all the rest is the staff. Phil, the host, is one of the nicest guys I've ever met and the waitresses will always put a smile on your face. I give McLintocks AG my highest recommendation. Five stars.

was told about this place by my general manager and boy was he right! the place had a lot of locals in it and was pretty packed at 7pm on Friday. They staff was fantastic and kept the drinks coming and strong. On Friday nights they have karaoke. The garlic fries had bits of real garlic on top of them..heaven and the steak tip (battered and fried pieces of steak) were yummy. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and said it was really good. Now, I took half of my fries back to the hotel and re-heated them the next morning and they were still good!!!!!

  • Kris L.

Although this place is smaller than the McClintocks in Pismo, I don't mind one bit, even on busy nights they always seem to make room for us. Every staff member is incredibly friendly and as a vegetarian, it's nice when a steak house actually has more than one option for us.

  • Heather W.

The food here is good anytime of day but nothing can beat the cowboy benedict. It by no means is health food but it's worth every calorie and carb. For lunch the pulled pork sliders are amazing and for dinner you have to get the artichoke with whatever entre you decide on. I have tried the Pismo and San Luis locations and enjoyed them all however Arroyo Grande is my favorite just because of the small home town feel and awesome service.

    (5)
  • Memo M.

The setting is great, service is great but the food is just average and overpriced. It's a lot of sides they throw at you but in the end I would choose jocko's steakhouse over this any day.

This is old school, red neck California dining. Decent steaks and burgers but nothing spectacular. Prices are good and the atmosphere is saloon caliber. Packed with locals and a friendly wait staff.

I used to come here quite often with my family when the economy was a little better, we still come in when we can and I've found that we always have excellent, fast and friendly service and the food is always delicious. They are considerably less expensive than the larger F McLintocks restaurant in the Pismo Beach area (which I didn't really care for). The only (very minor) thing that I don't like is how close the tables are together, I'll usually just sit out on the patio to avoid the crowded seating arrangement or sit closer to the wall. Will most definitely be back soon!

My husband and I like to have breakfast dates before heading off to work. McLintocks has a great morning special that starts our day off right! For $3.50 you get one egg, toast and yummy oatmeal with all the fixin's! It was a great way to start your next workday!

Breakfast was good, best gravy i've ever had! Decent prices, food was all cooked nicely. Other than the gravy it was overall just a decent breakfast. It was sooooo stuffy inside and kind of a weird odor (I think the patrons not the food), was grateful for an outdoor table!

This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants with friendly staff and casual dining atmosphere. We go when we are bored with cooking and share an entree with additional side salads -- the meals are more than large enough for doing this. Our son loves the "Rope and Ride" atmosphere and my husband like to check in on whatever games he's interested in via the TVs placed throughout. Food is great and consistent ... of course, as with the original McClintock's in Shell Beach, the focus is on the grill. Steaks, tri-tip, chicken, prawns and so forth. All cooked perfectly to order and delivered in a timely fashion. The full bar offers great local wines and beer, plus a really tasty bloody mary when you're in the mood. We love the Village of Arroyo Grande and this is one of the cornerstone dining experiences ... quaint, cozy and living up to the name -- it's a saloon folks! So come for a great, hearty meal and enjoy a casual, fun and friendly experience. See you there!

Overpriced!!!! The steak had no deep flavor to it. Salsa was comparable to the kind you get from bulk stores. The potatoes were very good. They didn't/wouldn't serve steak sauce like A-1 at dinner! Our dinner (for 2) came to $103!!

I love McLintock's Saloon in the Village! Great Value for the $$. We frequently go to McLintock's for breakfast after church or for family dinners. I recently took my parents and in-laws on a Tuesday night. We had great service with a smile. Our wait staff were polite and quick to serve. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had a Rib Steak, onion rings, a salad and their great beans. We love the saloon in the Village AND its only a few steps away from the best Wine Bar in SLO county - Gather Wine Bar ( facebook.com/gatherwineb… ) So, if you want to a great casual date night ... Go down to McLintock's Saloon for dinner and head over the to Gather for wine and dessert! Ciao!

Stopped by on the way home from southern California recently. I just had a simple burger with garlic fries with a side Caesar salad. The salad was definitely the yummiest I've had in awhile, but the burger and fries were kinda meh. Being from the Bay Area, though, I guess I'm a little picky about my garlic fries. The restaurant had a nice, friendly vibe, and was a nice place to watch the Angels game while we ate (and a nice place to be when they won!). The service was a little slow, but it wasn't really a problem. If this place were in my hometown, I wouldn't go there regularly. However, it was a nice place to stop by for a bite while we were in town.

At there for lunch every day during the week. On St. Patty's day they had corn beef and cabbage. It was delicious. Atmosphere was great and wait staff was very attentive.

Fast and friendly service. The food portions are hugeee. My breakfast burrito was obese. Its a small restaurant so make sure you get there in good time so you get a seat.

Love this place. Food (our group had: chicken sandwich, burger, steak, pulled pork) was good. The service was wonderful. Lovely, funky vibe. Lots of locals.

one of my 3 most favorite spots on the central coast. in my the best and friendliest staff/service in the area. If you combined the famous TV bar Cheers with a top quailty Steakhouse, you would have The Mcclintock location in the AG Village! The two gentleman who act as host and help with other jobs when not seating guests -are so friendly -they treat everyone that enters like they were family, and always make rounds to all the tables and visit and make sure everything is to your liking. LOVE their Rib Eye Steaks consistently one of the best on the central coast, and have eating there close to 2 dozen times and my dinner or lunch has never been over-cooked and im quite fickle about that. wonderful sides too beans baked Potatoes, french fries -its amazing the quality food they put out from such a small kitchen in back. I actually prefer coming here then going to the main dining hall up on the Hill in Pismo B. even though it has a larger menu. I just like the atmosphere here better.

If A.J. Spurs across the freeway is filled up for dinner, this is a close alternative, as in proximity. The food was bland, there was no privacy anywhere in the restaurant, it was so loud I couldn't hear the people sitting across the table from me, and walking back to the parking "garage" was more than creepy. If I had a choice of here or Sizzler's, I'll take my chances at the buffet line.

Excellent breakfasts and great lunch spot, although it gets pretty crowded by noon. The "good things come in two's" breakfast is a deal. The "black & bleu burger" is my favorite lunch, with cracked pepper, bleu cheese and thick sliced bacon.

best country breakfast in the 805, if you can wake up before noon! small scale of the big mcclintocks... much friendlier wait-staff & wayyyyy better food! french dip & cesar salad are my top picks for lunch if you are, or you know a BIG eater, try to BARON burger to get on their wall of fame!! its very entertaining to watch someone try to finish it... ive only seen it done once...
